TrueDrop is a free voltage-drop calculator for electrical professionals. Enter your circuit parameters and TrueDrop calculates voltage drop percentage, minimum wire size, and maximum allowable conductor length using NEC Table 9 AC impedance values and K-factor methods. TrueDrop is free with no in-app purchases.
How to use: Select conductor material (copper or aluminum), conduit type, system voltage, load current, power factor, and one-way circuit length. TrueDrop returns the voltage drop percentage, the minimum conductor size that meets your drop threshold, and the maximum length for your selected conductor size.
All calculations are performed locally on your device. Nothing is sent to a server. Results are a calculation aid for qualified electrical professionals. Always verify conductor sizing, voltage-drop limits, derating, conduit fill, terminal temperature ratings, jurisdiction requirements, and project specifications against the NEC and applicable project documents before pulling wire. TrueDrop is not a substitute for a licensed engineer or a code compliance determination.
